ALTAROAD is a French innovative deep tech startup founded in 2017 by three women with complementary profiles: Cécile, Rihab, and Bérengère.
We offer a platform for monitoring truck flows on construction and industrial sites coupled with a mobile and dynamic weighing system that we deploy on site. Our weighing system is based on machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms that generate meaningful data for the site.
Thanks to our solution, we are able to determine the license plates, the time of passage, the mass of the vehicles in movement, and so much more.
Our objectives: increase road safety by avoiding risky situations; decrease environmental impact by tracing the transported material; and reduce costs by optimising traffic on site.

ALTAROAD is a spin off of the École Polytechnique, the University of Gustave Eiffel, and the CNRS.
Today, we are an international team composed of a wide range of different profiles: experts in machine learning, electronics, materials, industrialisation, mathematics… and of course our developers! What unites us? A project that makes sense, the desire to have a real impact, and the desire to learn and innovate together.
It is thanks to this taste for innovation that we won the prestigious European Innovation Council competition in 2020 in the “Green Deal” category, which allowed us to benefit from €5M in funding.
We have also won three other competitions for innovative startups: at ALTAROAD we do not rest on our laurels!
